Find out where free internet, computer and training resources are available in your local area
South Australian community groups are set to benefit from greater access to computers, the internet and computer training through an initiative to map and promote the availability of free Information Communication Technology (ICT) across the State. There is a growing body of Australian research on the topic of the use of ICT by the community sector. |

Government commissioned reports and discussion papers suggest that the community sector is not yet harnessing the full potential and that they could be using these technologies much more effectively.
In February 2010, the Volunteer Ministerial Advisory Group (VMAG) proposed that, as a first step in assistance, it would be a useful exercise to identify what current access community groups have to free or low cost internet services, e.g. libraries, school networks etc.
Over the past six months, the Office for Volunteers has worked with local councils to identify and map a picture of the ICT access resources available for use by volunteer groups.
The result of this is the following list of internet, computer and training resources currently on offer to volunteer organisations, for free or at a reduced cost.
