Occupational health, safety and welfare

Protecting the safety and welfare of volunteers while they are contributing to
the wider community is vital.

The Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Act 1986 (external link) and the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations 1995 (external link) provides a range of protection for volunteers. It also defines a variety of obligations for organisations who utilise volunteers.
