Volunteer Management Scholarships

The Office for Volunteers encouraged the development of management skills and experience for volunteer program managers and co-ordinators through a scholarship fund established to support professional development.

The program was aimed at volunteers and paid staff who were managing/coordinating volunteer programs and were looking to gain a professional qualification, while expanding their skills, knowledge and professional network.

The program provided half scholarships to applicants to undertake TAFE SA Volunteer Management Studies for a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma qualification.

Professional Development Assistance

The Office for Volunteers established a fund to provide financial assistance to South Australian volunteers and volunteer managers to undertake professional development (e.g. attendance to conferences, cost of training etc).

The aim of the initiative was to encourage skill and knowledge development in volunteer management that would ultimately support the growth of the volunteer sector.
