Youth Volunteer Scholarship Awards

The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion's Youth Volunteer Scholarship Awards reward young South Australians, aged 25 years and under, who volunteer their time and talents to help others in the community.

Scholarships are awarded in recognition of young volunteers who are currently involved in volunteering, have a history of community participation, and have demonstrated their personal motivation and interest in volunteering and helping others in the community.

Applicants awarded with a scholarship will receive financial assistance to contribute towards the cost of course fees or text books associated with their chosen field of tertiary or vocational study delivered by a university, TAFE or other registered vocational college.

Value: up to $3,000

Eligibility

Young South Australians were eligible to apply for a scholarship award if they met all the following criteria:

  • aged 25 years or under at the time of application
  • a permanent resident of South Australia
  • complete the application form, highlighting their volunteering commitment and contribution to their community
  • provide a signed letter, supporting their application, from the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chairperson or Secretary of their volunteer association, organisation or club
  • provide details of a tertiary course provided by an Australian university, TAFE or registered vocational college that they wish to use the scholarship financial assistance for.
